Corporals or purificators are embroidered with Celtic cross. Cross is placed in the center of the front edge on the corporal. Cross is placed on in the center of the purificator. Cross can be embroidered in blue, red or white thread. Please message me with your color choice. Made to order with choice of 100 linen or linen/cotton blend. Available in sizes 10" x 10" to 18" x 18" with .5”-1" hem and mitered corners. If you want larger than a 18" square, different fabric or placement of cross, please contact me for pricing.

The corporal is a large square linen and is placed underneath the chalice. The corporal is so named because the word comes from the Latin “corpus,” meaning body. Purificators are used to clean the chalice and paten after communion.

Fabric choices:

Irish Linen: 6.5oz per square yard. Made with Belgian & French Yarn, Finished in Ireland.

Medium Weight Linen: At a medium weight of 5.3 oz, this 100% linen has a smooth look, it is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight.
